School Tools Even Journalists can Benefit From Using

Ran across a great post about 11 web services that can make your online life more manageable and thought to myself ‘I bet there are some other people that could benefit from these’ - and that’s you!
While the original post was written with students in mind, I wouldn’t say it’s too far-fetched to say journalists can get a lot out of these services as well. Here’s a few examples from Dumb Little Man (forgive me if you’ve heard of these before):
Bugmenot.com – Bugmenot lets you find and share disposable logins for popular websites that force you to register. Also use “email.bugmenot.com” for quick disposable email accounts.
Teleflip.com – Have your emails forwarded to your phone as text messages.
eFax.com – Nobody has a fax machine in school. So when you want to receive faxes, just use eFax. eFax will give you a phone number that you can give to people, and your faxes will show up in your inbox.
Qipit.com - Take a photo of your school notes or other documents, and this service will turn them into a readable, taggable document.
From the comments, Mike Rotch suggests Zotero, a Firefox extension that helps you take notes on items you research. I could also suggest Google Notebook for this. It might be a good idea to encourage reporters to use these services as it will make it easier for them to remember links that they want to include in their stories posted online.
I’m also a big fan of Google Docs, as it integrates nicely with my Google account. I haven’t used Zoho, but I’m Google-ized enough that I don’t really want to get too involved with it. If it’s better, let me know about it!
Got any other tools you think other journalists could benefit from?

Shawn
I and maybe others would benefit from a little tutorial or tips on how to use these services, especially Google Notebook. I can’t figure out what it’s good for. I installed it and uninstalled it once.
Thanks,
GM
