Happy Valentine’s Day all. I just wanted to take time to thank you all for reading New Media Bytes and offering up your thoughtful comments.
I often talk about bloggers needing to respond in comments and participate in social networks to connect with their readers. But today, I thought a little more might be necessary. Connecting with many of you at Wired Journalists, Twitter and other networks has really helped me enjoy the social aspect of the web so much more.
Getting feedback on some of the ideas that I’ve posted has helped me hone some of my own work methods and thoughts about strategies for online journalism. Whether negative or positive, your thoughts have helped grow this blog.
Special Treat: In case you’re like me, you likely waited until Valentine’s Day to think about what you could do for your significant other. If that’s the case, here’s a few links to get you thinking about what you can do after the work day to help bring a smile to your sweetie.

Unfortunately, I feel Valentines day isn’t the greatest for us singles!
Maybe I’m being cynical, but would a good gift be to forget about it for tonight and surprise her at the weekend?

Ha! Nice comment David. Wouldn’t be too bad with my girlfriend. We’re both overly busy and tired during the week, surprising her with something nice this weekend might be the perfect recipe.
