ProBlogger dropped a great post this morning about 7 types of blog posts that build traffic and links.

The list offers great tips for what kind of entries to write when your stuck on creating a new post. This is a great resource for new blog writers who may not understand why their posts are not generating blog comments and new audiences.

And at least three of the seven ideas ProBlogger mentions are things reporters are likely already doing when creating info boxes.

The trick is to expand a story’s info boxes, which generally are quick lists and resource boxes. Add a graph to each item in your print story’s info box list and you have a perfectly good blog post to compliment your larger story online.

Lists and quick advice articles are very popular among web readers and Diggers. Expand your info boxes and invite your readers to Digg your posts. With the right post, your blog might hit the front page of a social bookmarking service that could boost your traffic and put a strain on the servers.

Other ideas by ProBlogger: Argue a popular position, Write a killer headline and provide good advice. Check out the post to get a better explanation on each of ProBlogger’s ideas.
